SANYO DENKI Group Human Rights Policy

At SANYO DENKI Group, based on our corporate philosophy—“We aim to help all people achieve happiness and work with people to make their dreams come true,”—we recognize our responsibility to respect human rights, which are fundamental to a life of dignity and happiness. Building on this recognition, the SANYO DENKI Group Human Rights Policy, (hereinafter, “the Policy”) serves as a foundational framework rooted in our Business Conduct and Practices, guiding all business activities across the Group.

  1. Compliance with Human Rights Laws and International Standards
As a member of the international community, we respect international standards, including the International Bill of Human Rights and the International Labor Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. While we comply with the local laws and regulations of each country and region in which we operate, when there is a conflict between compliance with local laws and international standards, we will seek ways to uphold internationally recognized human rights.
  2. Scope of Application
The Policy applies to all the officers and employees of the Group. We also expect our suppliers, business partners, and any other parties involved in our products and services to understand and respect the Policy.
  3. Respect for Human Rights

We respect the human rights of all individuals involved in our business activities.

    (1) Prohibition of Discrimination

We do not tolerate any discrimination based on race, religion, nationality, origin, gender, age, disability, or personal preferences in any aspect of our business.

    (2) Prohibition of Harassment

We prohibit all forms of harassment, including sexual, power, and moral harassment, that may cause discomfort or harm to others.

    (3) Prohibition of Unfair Labor Practices

We strictly prohibit child labor, forced labor, and any other form of unfair labor practices.

    (4) Safe, Clean, and Healthy Work Environment

We provide a safe, clean, and healthy workplace in compliance with local occupational health and safety laws.

    (5) Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

We respect the employees’ rights to freely associate, form labor unions, and engage in collective bargaining, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

    (6) Coexistence with Local Communities

We respect the cultures, values, and rights of local communities where we operate, and we strive to prosper together with those communities.

  4. Human Rights Risk Management
We are committed to identifying and assessing human rights risks throughout our supply chain and building systems to prevent and mitigate potential human rights violations.
  5. Education and Awareness
We provide appropriate training and awareness programs to ensure that all officers and employees understand the Policy and uphold human rights.
  6. Information Disclosure
