SANYO DENKI Develops SANMOTION R 3E Model AC Servo Amplifier
With high-speed communication and functional safety, features required of all devices
June 12, 2017
SANYO DENKI CO., LTD. has developed a new model of AC servo amplifier for the SANMOTION R 3E Model series.
This amplifier has integrated EtherCAT with even shorter communication cycle time than our current model*, achieving even smoother device operation.
It provides a variety of functional safety for building a safe system, which is a feature required of all industrial devices in the world.
It is suitable for applications such as semiconductor manufacturing equipment, machine tools, and general industrial machinery.
Features
1.Smoother device operation than current model
The EtherCAT communication cycle has been shortened to 1/2** that of our current model*, achieving even finer and smoother motion of embedded devices.
2. Safe and efficient system can be built
Various safety functions are available for decelerating or stopping motors easily. Even if workers are nearby devices in operation, the safety of workplace is ensured.
Motors can be stopped without shutting down the amplifier, therefore device restart time can be shortened.
* When compared with our existing product SANMOTION R ADVANCED MODEL with EtherCAT
** Minimum communication cycle time: 62.5 μs (125 μs for the above product)
